Comics that have value.?
July 32009
How do you know if a comic book is valueable? What do you look for? How can I find them for cheap?? I have a very small collection of comic books, and would like to get more involved with comics, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
comicspriceguide.com is a good website to find the values of comics for free cuz you don’t have to sign up to search through their database and they usually have very similar prices to the Official Overstreet Price Guide values. Values of comics depend on supply and demand just like anything else. Most comics from the early 80’s to now are not worth much with some exceptions. I’ve found that certain Spider-Man comics seem to be the more expensive ones on Ebay and what not cuz they have a greater demand than most other titles especially right now because of the nostalgia from teh movie, but that should die down within the year. If you’re thinking about buying comics to resell, I wouldn’t waste the time or money. I recently talked to a guy that I had purchased some comics from and he said it best when he said that if you can make 10 cents on the dollar selling comics, then you’re doing pretty good.

the best way to know that a comic is valable is to go on an internet bidding site and try to sell it. if you are getting a lot of money for it, this meansthat it is valuable. u can read more comics online. Even (My Yahoo!) supports a few comics.

Find a copy of the "Overstreet comic book price guide". Most comics are valuable because of how old they are, if they’re a milestone issue (25th, 100th), a 1st issue, or involve the first appearance or death of a character.

the cheapest way to buy comics is on bidville.com i buy stuff from thier all the time for .50-$1.00.
value is something else though, it depends on what happens in the issue, the condition of the issue, and how hot the character is at that time. comics can go up and down in price all the time
