Look up the following: King Features Syndicate,

http://www.kingfeatures.com/subg_comic.htm

United Features Syndicate:

http://www.unitedfeatures.com/?title=Submissions

Universal Press Syndicate:

http://www.amuniversal.com/ups/submissions.htm

Things are pretty consistent -- they four to six weeks of continuity for example.

Good luck.
References :
Not at all. It's all dollars. They don't care what the fans want at all.

I guess Spiderman will now hang out with Peter Pan and dump Mary Jane for Alice in Brooklyn.

No wonder Venom was so Girly in SM3. They must have taken over long before we knew of it. He prolly wore pink underwear.
References :
If your looking for superheros that are heroic but they don't go around in tights and underwear then you should probably check out darkhorse they do comics like Hellboy, Buffy the vampire slayer, B.P.R.D. stuff like that but you should also check out comics like Runaways by marvel comics its about a bunch of kids that found out there parents were super villains and they decide to runaway and they get weapons and stuff to stop there parents from destroying the world my description doesn't do it justice but its a good read also check out deadpool he wares a costume but he only wares it cause hes so dang ugly its cool looking and its pretty darn funny but the best bet you have is to go onto a comic shop online and look for an anti-hero type comic which is a hero comic without all the costumes and junk i've listed some sites with this answer
References :
tfaw.com, comicfusion.com

try not to get rips or tears and keep it with a card board back with a baggie on it and it will increase in value if it does not get damaged. Alos if you grade it by a professional comic grader.
