“Cindy’s Neale’s Values Changed Dramatically After the Near Death Experience of Her Daughter Laura and The Northridge Earthquake.”
As an integral part of the In Search Of Heroes Program, Coronado High School Journalism students interviewed the Neale family.

Laura Neale was one of the first heroes in training, a winner of the Good Guys Comic Book contest and a victim of a hit and run drunk driver. Her back was horribly broken and the doctors did not know if she would ever walk again. His sister Sarah’s elbow was badly broken also. As a further challenge to the family, their home was only 5 miles from the epicenter of the Northridge earthquake and Cindy and Ted Neale were very traumatized by all the catastrophe’s hitting their Family in a short period of time. As Ted, Cindy, Laura and Sarah tell about their traumatic experiences you begin to realize the value of family members and the love of a mom and dad.

PRO-FAN Silver-Age Comic Trivia Contest! PART FOUR!

September 32009

Part FOUR!

This is the PRO-FAN SILVER-AGE TRIVIA CONTEST at WizardWorld Chicago in 2006. The panel was hosted by COMICS BUYER’S GUIDE columnist, Craig Shutt (Mr. Silver-Age). The representative for the comics pros was Mark Waid, who answered questions via cell-phone, as he couldn’t make it to Chicago. A panel of comics fans competed against Waid on comics trivia from the Silver-Age of comic books.

This is part four of six. Nearly the entire contest was filmed by me, but my camera ran out of juice before the final outcome. SPOILER! Mark Waid won. But, see if you get the answers correct, yourself.

This issue takes place on the one year anniversary of Captain America’s death and for the first time since his death we hear from the spirit of Steve Rogers. It looks like loki’s plan will finally start taking shape in the next issue and we will get to see just how much chaos she can bring to Asgaard.
